We’re excited to work with two (2) students who are looking to learn about Logistics from our talented warehouse and operations team in our Saddle Brook, NJ office.
How we help you learn real-world skills
We provide exposure to important Logistics processes by learning how logistics plays a part of Operations – it’s an important and last step before our products get to our customers.
You’ll learn about Logistics & Operations through:
- Inventory Management (Exposure to an ERP “Enterprise Resource Planning” System for Distribution)
- Shipping & Receiving (UPS World Ship, FedEx Ship Manager, Truck Shipments, etc.)
- Fulfillment (Pick & Pack, Order Processing Accuracy, Proper Skid Prep, etc.)
- Any Ad Hoc Projects that arise
You’ll take the initiative to share your progress and ask questions if you need clarity.
But you won’t be alone because a Team Supervisor will be there to provide guidance and help when you need it.
What you need to bring to the table
If you’re expecting a paid internship to go for coffee runs, this isn’t the role for you. This is a hands-on Logistics Internship that will get you exposure to a crucial part of Operations and how it can affect different departments within the company.
So ideally, you’re going to be:
- An Eager Student. You want some experience under your belt so when graduation comes and you’re applying for jobs, you’ve actually got real-world experience. Plus, a paid internship is a win/win opportunity – you get to make some coin and build that resume.
- You’re a Smart Cookie. You have basic math skills and great communication skills because you can listen to directions and you aren’t afraid to ask questions. You’ll put your best foot forward to learn and contribute to something outstanding at PHI.
